Dear Reader,

Our inaugural book is about the Internet — with pages full of discoveries, ideas, experiences, perspectives, feelings, colors, shapes, and explorations. In short, full of life.

Books have always been my refuge. Although my mom couldn’t read, she taught me the value of stories and the importance of education. Our weekends spent sifting through library aisles were honestly the highlight of my childhood. I see now that it wasn't just the tales I was drawn to, but the knowledge embedded in them.

This sense of curiosity eventually led me to dive into the digital world of Web3. I discovered that this newest version of the Internet has characteristics that inspire me: authenticity, transparency, and collaborative creation.

Just a year ago, New Society began as an Instagram page to demystify Web3 for the newcomer. We launched into this space, armed with a thirst for education, and our findings are now before you in tangible pages.

This gradient-wrapped story you’re about to immerse yourself in is handcrafted by real people. Our method embraces imperfection as a vehicle for discovery and new ideas. That means we’ve got quirks and we love them.

Now, this book serves as the culmination of that learning, offering a bridge between the traditional and the cutting-edge. Made with immense care, our aim is for this book to be more than just reading material. We hope it serves as a tool for your own exploration, inspiring you to look at technology — and perhaps the world — a little differently.
